Days are a lot shorter now and darker, and the fewer working hours in the day and bad weather mean we concentrate on general maintenance tasks around the farm. Turkeys and geese are killed around the middle of the month ready for Christmas. Fleeces produced by our Wensleydale sheep in June are spun into wool for knitting, felting and weaving demonstrations.
