Pigs

Our farm is home to the RisingSun herd of pedigree Berkshire pigs.
Berkshire pigs are a rare old breed native to Britain, and are
currently classed as vulnerable by the Rare Breed Survival Trust.
Our herd, founded in
November 2006, contains the following female lines:
- Royal Sapphire
- Royal Lustre
- Suzanne
- Lady
plus the following male lines:

Our pigs are free to roam and root in their grassy paddock, with fresh air, sunshine
and plenty of entertainment. They're fed on an organic ration of locally-grown
cereals and legumes, with a year-round supply of fresh vegetables from our horticultural
unit, and they help us to clear and turn the soil ready for the next crop.
All this means happy, healthy pigs.
We supply pedigree breeding stock and finished pigs.
